Brett Siler's original score for Mitch Massie's grizzly fairy tale The Story Of Rabbit Girl! Touching on Russian classical and folk, jazz, nods towards minimalism, golden age cinema, with introspective piano and synths. This is by far Brett Siler's most playful, light-hearted, reflective and charming work to date.

Message from Brett Siler about the album:
"The footage for that turned into short movie "Story of Rabbit Girl" was actually first released as a music video by Mitch Massie for Cattle Decapitation's "Clandestine Ways (Krokodil Rot)"; in which I stared in and played many different characters. We actually shot so much material we thought "why not turn it into a short movie". Since I happen to be a musician so it made sense I scored the film too. As opposed to Cattle Decapitation's music we actually wanted the music for the movie to be light-hearted to offset the extremely graphic and grizzly visuals. The music was inspired by and an homage to Yann Tiersen, Angelo Badalamenti, Erik Satie, Dimitri Shostakovich, Phillip Glass, as well as some of the greats from the golden age of cinema for that older classic cinematic sound. Working on this material was really fun and challenging. It's also interesting because there is absolutely no guitar on this album, which I've never done before. I didn't realize that until about 3/4's of the way through writing the album and just decided to stick with the no guitar theme just to challenge myself."
